Summer and the Fire Element

Summer is the season for the element of Fire to show up. The energy coming forth from spring is realizing its maximum potential. The Fire element gives us warmth and the capacity to love and be loved. It enables us to mature and blossom. Menstruation, sexual secretions, lubrication at joints, digestion, and metabolism depend on the balance of our Fire element. Deficiency or excess in the organ systems relating to the fire element (heart, small intestine, pericardium and triple burner) show up in many different ways. Dryness, sexual dysfunction, insomnia, anxiety, sluggish digestion, watery diarrhea, sinus congestion, inflammation in the joints, burning urination are just a few. On the spirit level Fire is associated with joy, laughter and the ability to connect with the world around us. This summer season find your passion, feed your passion, get into your body, move, play, love!

Breech Babies Can Turn

Breech position babies and Eastern Medicine

We address breech position babies in the 33rd–37th weeks of pregnancy. Studies have shown (and we have found clinically) that this time frame has the highest success rate in helping babies change into the best position.

What are these treatments like? Once you schedule an appointment, we discuss your health and pregnancy, then you receive a relaxing and comfortable acupuncture treatment with moxa. After your appointment, we will provide you with the supplies you need, and teach you how to continue the moxa at home.

Please call us with any questions, and find our online schedule here: http://whitepeony.com/schedule-appointment/
We look forward to helping you!

How acupuncture helps with labor

Thinking about your upcoming due date?

There are two ways to approach labor preparation with acupuncture. These sessions help to gradually prepare you for the natural onset of labor, as well as address stress, anxiety, and physical discomforts.

The first approach is to start acupuncture once weekly from 37 weeks. The second approach is to have acupuncture at or after your due date, at a frequency of one to three times per week. Both approaches are very safe, effective, and help facilitate a more efficient labor. Treatments consist of meeting with your provider and discussing your health and pregnancy, then you will rest with needles in for 30 minutes. These sessions are very comfortable and relaxing
